ROYAL
DORNOCH

"I have played none finer, a natural
masterpiece"
(Tom Watson)
Even though it is the
least-known and least-played of all the great links
courses, Royal Dornoch is one of the great courses in the
North of Scotland.
The first two holes do not
reveal Dornorch's character, but from the 3rd tee the
course unfolds, running through gorse on a shelf above
the beach holes to the 8th; then turning and running
alongside the great curve of the beach all the way back,
along the most perfect links grounds imaginable.
There are very few courses that
can rival Dornoch in the beauty of its surroundings, for
at Dornoch, the vistas of sea and sand and mountains are
stunning. Royal Dornoch may be one of the few places in
the world where the scenery is matched by the majesty of
the course.
